  • What is the cancellation policy?
    We ask that a 48 hours in advance notice of an appointment cancellation be provided, not doing so may result in additional charge being billed to the individual and not insurance companies.
  • Does Balanced Pathways Mental Wellness use controlled substances?
    Unfortunately, the recent DEA initiated rules prohibit the prescription of controlled substances through Telehealth practices. We understand the necessity for such treatment choices, however we cannot prescribe them for Telehealth visits.
  • What is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner?
    A psychiatric nurse practitioner is someone that has a master's degree in psychiatric mental health nursing that prepares them to provide high quality psychiatric and mental health care for patients.
  • What age group does Balanced Pathways Mental Wellness treat?
    Balanced Pathways Mental Wellness providers treat 15 years of age and older.
  • What is telepsychiatry?
    In today's world, people often express they have busy schedules or are always on the go, telepsychiatry offers Telehealth which is a virtual visit with your psychiatric provider. Telehealth provides convenience and flexibility with busy schedules.
  • What insurances are accepted?
    We accept Oscar Health, United Healthcare, Oxford, Aetna, and Cigna. We are in the process of accepting other insurance plans. We accept private pay (cash payments).
  • What should I do in Emergency Situations?
    Please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room for mental health crisis or medical emergencies. Call the National Suicide Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK for immediate assistance, it is available 24/7. For the crisis line, you can text HOME to 741-741.
